of the City Gode shall also regulate <br />wastes with the exception that there needs to a conti- <br />~uous area for the installation of three soil absorption <br />systems based on water useage. <br />Off-street p~rkin~ <br />a. Design and Gonstruction: <br /> Off-street parkin~ areas shall be so designed that <br /> vehicles may be l~rked in an convenient and orderly <br /> fashion. Parkin~ areas shall be surfaced and main- <br /> rained with a hard, all-weather, durable, dust-free <br /> surfacing material, shall be p~operly drained~ and <br /> shall be maintained in a sightly and well-kept con- <br /> dition. Fad% parking space shall be c/early outlined <br /> or other marked and shall have a minimun width of <br /> nine feet and length of twenty feet exclusive of <br /> aisles and maneuvering space. Clear aisle widths <br /> shall be at least twelve feet for forty-five degree <br /> angle pmrking. Any lighting used to illu~inate off- <br /> street parking areas shall be so arranged as to de- <br /> flect the light away fr~ a~aoent [xoperttes and <br /> raodways. <br />b. Location: <br /> The parking area may abut the lxoperty line if the ad- <br /> joining property is zor~d business or industrial. <br /> Parking areas adjoining other districts shall be <br /> located closer than 25 feet to the side or rear <br /> property line. Truck traffic shall be routed around <br /> and not through the automobile l~rking areas. <br /> Loading: <br /> An off-street loading facility shall be p~o~ided with <br /> an area of not less than twelve feet in width and sixty- <br /> feet on length, exclusive of aisles and ~aneuvering space. <br /> Such facility shall be at the rear of the principal struc- <br /> ture and shall be used exclusively for the loading and un- <br /> loading of merchandise. All such facilities, aisles and <br /> maneuvering space shall be surfaced in the same manner as <br /> that prescribed for parking areas. <br /> Oompliance: In order to assure compliance with the <br /> performance standards set forth above, the City <br /> Gouncil may require the (wner or operator of any <br /> permitted use to make such investigations and tests <br /> as may be required to show adherenoe to above per- <br /> formance standards. Such investigation and tests as <br /> are required to be made shall be carried out by an <br /> independent testing organization as may be agreed upon <br /> by the City and the owner or operator, or if there is <br /> failure to agree within ten days after written notice <br /> by the City to the owner or operator to make such investi- <br /> gation and tests, by such independent testing organiza- <br /> tion as may be selected by the Council. The costs in- <br /> curred in having such investigations or tests conducted <br /> shall be borne entirely by the (tuner or operator. The <br /> procedure stated above shall not preclude the City fr~m <br /> taking any such other tests and investigations it <br /> <br />K - 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
