Deciduous Trees 1 inch diameter as measured six inches above ground <br />Coniferous Trees 5 feet in height <br /> <br />4. Planting Types. Acceptable plantings shall be d~termined by the <br /> City planting schedule, The compliment of trees fulfilling the <br /> landscaping requirements shall not be less than.25% deciduous and <br /> not less than 25% coniferous. <br /> <br />5. Grading. Final slope grades shall not exceed 3.5:1 unless terracing <br /> of retaining walls are approved. Berming for parking lots and open <br /> space areas shall not exceed a slope of 3:l. <br /> <br />6. Required Ground Cover. Lawns are required for all residential <br /> developments and shall be installed with sod, seed, natural ground <br /> cover, or native grasses and wild flowers in the R-1 Residential <br /> District within one (1) year of the date the certificate of occupancy <br /> for the principal building was issued. Noxious weeds do not <br /> constitute allowed ground cover in any district. <br /> <br />Lighting. <br /> <br />1. Lighting used to illuminate an off-street parking area, sign or <br /> structure, shall be arranged to deflect light away from adjacent <br /> residential districts or public streets. Bulbs emitt!ng in excess of <br /> 3000 lumens (150 watts) shall be directed sO that the bulb is not <br /> visible from offthe property where the light source is located. <br /> <br />Exterior Building Materials. <br /> <br />1. The type of building materials used on exterior walls on all <br /> structures in the R~ 1 Residential District shall be face brick, natural <br /> stone, stucco, aluminum, steel, or vinyl siding, wood, masonite <br /> products or other compatible residential materials that may be <br /> approved by the City. <br /> <br />Screening. <br /> <br />I.
