Councihnember Elvig stated it is important to let the'public know about this. With the gowth <br />the City is seeing and the closeness of some of these areas, Public Works has had quite a <br />discussion about it. The City has come dangerously close to running out of water and they do <br />not have another well in yet. They need to make sure they have the water and the pressure <br />available when it is needed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Strommen, Elvig, Kurak, <br />Pearson, and Zimmennan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public bearing was closed at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson noted the rain sensor is not included in the code as he <br />thought it was. He requested input from the Council regarding this and the minimum depth of <br />soil. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Council was that requirements regarding the minimum depth of soil and <br />sprinkling systems be included in the construction code. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Ordinance #04- <br />24 modifying section 4.40.06 subd 10 relating to sprinkling and limitations on use of the <br />municipal water system. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was perfomned by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook: aye <br />Councilmember Elvig: aye <br />Councilmember Kurak: aye <br />Councilrnember Pearson: aye <br />Councilmember Strommen: aye <br /> <br />Councihnember Zimmerman: aye <br />Mayor Gamec: <br /> <br />aye <br /> <br />Motion can-ied. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Public Hearing to Consider Execution of a Business Subsidy Agreement with <br />T & D Holdings, LLC <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:42 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />City Council/June 8, 2004 <br />Page 9 of 22 <br /> <br />P55 <br /> <br /> <br />
