The engineering representative for Oakwood Land Developrnent indicated the developer has <br />been working on resolving that condition with the adjacent property owner. They are working on <br />the details of a fence being installed. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon indicated if there is not a fence there will <br />have to be additional plantings in this location to allow for the density transition. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired about the area to the'west. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon indicated additional trees could be <br />planted in this area. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman suggested the residents be spoken with to see what they would like. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon noted some of the neighbors were present <br />at the public hearing for the preliminary plat, but he does not believe there has been any contact <br />with them since. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec indicated he believes Mr.' Peterson has been in contact with the neighbors. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen clarified that staff will determine solutions regarding the adequate <br />trees and discuss the suggestions with the adjacent property owners. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councih~ember Elvig, to adopt Resolution #04- <br />06-168 to approve the final plat of Alpine Woods contingent upon compliance with the City Staff <br />Review Letter dated June 18, 2004, the Developer's receipt of an easement from the.owner of <br />Lot 1, Block 1, High Point 2"a Addition, and the Developer entering into a Development <br />a~eement with the City, with Lot 1, Bock 3 to be platted as an outlot to accommodate the <br />temporary cul-de-sac. <br /> <br />Further Discussioiq: Councilmember Kurak noted the developer is working to acquire extra <br />property from the property owner to the north. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon replied if the property cannot be acquired <br />'the developer will have to complete everything on their property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired about the Met Council's involvement. <br /> <br />Assistant. Community Development Director Trudgeon replied this has been approved by the <br />Met Council. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, Kurak, Pearson, <br />· Strmrunen, and Zimmen,nan.
