Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-08- <br /> <br /> RELATING <br />MARTIN AND <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PER[MIT FROM RUTH <br />MECHTEL TO EXCEED THE SIZE RESTRICTIONS FOR ACCESSORY BUILDING <br />SPACE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Martin and Ruth Mechtel, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicants", have <br />properly applied fbr a Conditional Use Permit to exceed the maximum amount of square feet for <br />accessory buildings on properties between 14,880 square feet and 43,559 square feet as <br />established in section 9.11.02 "Accessory Uses" of City Code on the property generally known as <br />15235 Zuni Street NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 1 I, Block 2, Gorhams Sandy Acres Estates, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />("S ubj ect Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIs CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows:' <br /> <br />That the Applicants appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on August 5, 2004, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />by reference. <br /> <br />2.. That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Residential and is located inside the Metropolitan <br /> Urban Service Area (MUSA). <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is surrounded by Properties also zoned R-1 Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 0.85 acres (37,000 square feet) in size. <br /> <br />5. That City Code restricts the Subject Property to a total of 1,488 square feet of accessory <br /> building space. ' <br /> <br />6. That the Applicants have an existing storage shed that is eighty (80) square feet in size which <br /> will be removed once the construction of the proposed accessory building is completed. <br /> <br />That the Applicants have an existing garage that is 960 square feet; the proposed accessory <br />building would be 720 square feet in size; resulting in a total of 1,680 square feet of <br />accessory building space on the Subject Property and an overage of 192 square feet of <br />accessot3/building space. <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br /> <br />
