Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM BRETTON GATES FOR A HOME OCCUPATION PERA/IIT TO <br />OPERATE A CLOCK REPAIR BUSINESS ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT. 8340 <br />154TM LANE NW. " <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an appliCation from Bret-ton Gates requesting a <br />home occupation permit to operate a clock repair business in the principal dwelling on the <br />property generally known as 8340 154th Lane NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 7, Block 8, Whispering Pines Estates <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on July 6, 2004, Bretton Gates, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", properly <br />applied fbr a home occupa~tion permit to operate a clock repair business. <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public <br />hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.05 of the City Code on August 5, 2004, and that said <br />public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are <br />hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Residential - Rural Developing, and the <br />surrounding parcels are zoned R-1 Residential - Rural Developing. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 0.9 acres. <br /> <br />5. That the Subject Property is surrounded by lots that are similar in size. <br /> <br />That clock repair businesses operated within a principal dwelling are not a permitted use <br />in the R- 1 Residential District without {he issuance of a Home Occupation Permit. <br /> <br />That the Applicant resides at and is the fee title owner of the [ocation of the proposed <br />home occupation. <br /> <br />That the Applicant will receive a maximum of 2-3 clients per day at the Subject Property, <br />and therefore the use is not creating excessive vehicular traffic to the Subject Property as <br />defined in Subd. 3 Section (g) of the Home Occupation ordinance. <br /> <br />That the Applicant's business hours will be Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:30pm and <br />Saturday 10:00am - 2:00pm. <br /> <br />10. That the proposed use will/will not adversely impact traffic in the area. <br /> <br /> <br />
