The City Engineer shall prescribe the manner of sewage treatment and disposal in the case of large volupe water useage. Sections of the City Gode shall also regulate wastes with the exception that there r~cds to a conti- guous area for the installation of three soil absorption syst~TS based on water useage. Off-street parking a. Design and Construction: Off-street parking areas shall be so designed that vehicles may be parked in an oonvenient and orderly fashion. Parking areas shall be surfaced and main- tained with a hard, all-weather, durable, dust-free surfacing material, shall be properly drained, and shall be maintained in a sightly and well-kept oon- dition. Each parking space shall be clearly outlined or other marked and shall have a minimu~ width of nine feet and length of twenty feet exclusive of aisles and maneuvering space. Clear aisle widths shall be at least twelve feet for forty-five degree angle parking. Any lighting used to illupinate off- street parking areas shall be so arranged as to de- flect the light away frc~ adjacent properties and raodways. b. Location: The parking area may abut the property line if the ad- joining property is zoned business or industrial. Parking areas adjoining other districts shall be located closer than 25 feet to the side or rear property line. Truck traffic shall be routed around and not through the autc{pobile parking areas. Loading: An off-street loading facility shall be provided with an area ~f not less than twelve feet in width and sixty- feet on length, exclusive of aisles and maneuvering space. Such facility shall be at the rear of the principal struc- ture and shall be used exclusively for the loading and un- loading of ~erchandise. Ail such facilities, aisles and maneuvering space shall be surfaced in the same manner as that prescribed for parking areas. (3c~pliance: In order to assure oo~pliance with the performance standa_____rds set forth above, the City Oouncil may require the owner or operator of any permitted use to make such investigations and tests as may be required to show adherence to above per- formance standards. Such investigation and tests as are required to be made shall be carried out by an independent testing organization as may be agreed upon by the City and the owner or operator, or if there is failure to agree within ten days after written notice by the City to the owner or operator to make such investi- gation and tests, by such independent testing organiza- K - 10
