Mrs. Ness stated that the home im~x{w~ment business is their <br />livelihood. Mrs. Ness stated that she and her husband have imp~ed the <br />property ~onsiderab!y sinoe they purchased it and the City was being grossly <br />unfair in changing the fir~lings of fact. Mrs. Ness stated that she and her <br />husband are trying to take care ~f their r~-cds legally while neighbors are <br />violating City oodes; that she and her husband ~ould have just built the <br />garage. Mrs. Ness stated that appr{wing the oonditional use permit and <br />apprcwing the size building they need to store their ~qui~ment will imp~e the <br />looks of the p~operty and it will not be a hazard to anybody in any way. Mrs. <br />Ness rsquested that Council reoonsider the request. <br /> <br />(buncilms~ber (bx stated that he is not willing to reconsider; 24' x 26' should <br />suffioe with s~e additior~l height to the building; Ramsey's ~usiness sector <br />is being taxed 4 to 5 times more than the residential areas and Council should <br />not be enoouraging business growth in R-1 districts. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman and Councilm~bers Reimann and Schlueter stated that they will <br />not reoonsider the request. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman stated that enforoement ~f these ordinances is on the Gouncil <br />agenda for discussion this e~ening; if the City is going to be oonsistent, we <br />have to start enforcing the ordinances. <br /> <br />Mrs. Ness stated that the rules are being enforced after she and her husband <br />were misled and made application.
