Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Re_port on Municipal Center <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that the architectural firm that designed City ~all <br />suggested that the building's foundation be checked for proper water <br />proofing; this has been c~ne ar~ the foundation seems to be properly water <br />proofed. ~he architectural firm will get back to us with more thoughts on <br />the issue of how water is getting into lower level at City Ball. <br /> <br />_MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1. Waste Management Of Minnesota Request For T~nporary Ovr~itional Use <br /> Permit - <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that Waste Nana~t of Minnesota, Inc. has submitted a <br />request for a temporary ~or~litional use permit to mine property just to the <br />south of the landfill for oover purposes. Mr. Berg stated that he has <br />submitted the application to City Engineer Raatikka for his review. ~he <br />mining process ovuld take h~o years to o~mplete. Mr. Berg stated that a <br />temporary ~or~litional use permit does mt require a public hearing and <br />council ovuld approve the request (~ontinc3ent upon approval of City Engineer <br />ar~ oompliance with City ordirmnces. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that it akmlt be discussed ~ether or <br />not a regular or t~porary ~nditional permit should apply in this case; a <br />temporary permit is intencled for uses generally not suitable within a <br />zoning district on a t~porary basis. City Attorr~y (k~drich stated that <br />it may be that t~o years is not oonsidered tenporary and the end result of <br />the mining may r~t be temporary. <br /> <br /> <br />
