I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
i
!
I

The st[eet section proposed, as shown on Exhibit B, consists of a
three inch (3") gravel base with a minimum 1-1/2" bituminous surface.
This section is equivalent to a 5-ton design in accordance with the
Minnesota Department of Transportation specifications. This street
section has been used successfully in other areas of the City. It is
estimated that this street section has a life expectancy of 15 years
with minimal maintenance.

The proposed construction generally would not include any driveway
construction with the exception of a one foot (1') apron which would
be provided to protect the edge of the pavement on the rural cross
section street. It would be the homeowner's responsibility to extend
existing bituminous or concrete driveways to match the street. In
special cases, if the street grades are revised to require driveway
adjustments, those adjustments would be made as part of the project.

STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

The present storm drainage system appears to be functional with the
exception of culvert cleaning, ditch cleaning and the addition of two
cross street culverts. The cross street culverts are proposed to be
installed across Junkite Street at 140th Lane N.W. and north of i42nd
Avenue as shown on Exhibit A.

Some existing driveways presently may not have driveway culverts.
While not all driveways would need a driveway culvert, those lots
which presently may cause potential flooding problems should be re-
quired to install driveway culverts. This work is proposed to be done
by the owner of the affected property.

3
