Members Present: Councilmember A1 Sorteberg Councilmember Gary Reimann Also Present: City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg Chief of Police Mike Ausp~s 5he meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m. COMMI~i~E BUSINESS Case ~1: ADDroval of _City Att. orne~v's. Ret!lest __to_Bill Regular Hourly_ to_3~ppli can ts and Developers: ~he City Administrator referred to the City Attorney's memo and explained the situation to the Personnel Committee. He said that the City would still be involved as far as billing out, but there would be no additional cost to the city. ~Dtion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to recommend that the City Council authorize the City Attorney to bill applicants and developers at his regular office billing rate. 5btion carried. Voting yes: Councilmembers iReimann and Sorteberg. Voting no: ~ne. ADDroval of Anne__Norris _to PerganentEmDtovment Status as the city's Urban Economic Develo~m~ent.~: 5he City Administrator stated that Anne Norris has completed her six month probationary period with the City of Ramsey as of February 28, 1985. Staff is recommending that she be placed on permanent employment status. He further stated that he is extremely hapuf with her wo~:k and that she is a real asset to the City. Councilmember Reimann asked if anything has k~en changed or should be changed in her job description. ~. City Administrator Schnelle replied no, but she has taken on more areas of work such as landfill ~legislation. She has taken over the handling of the Planning and Zoning Commission and Chairman Ken Peterson, as well as Don Greenberg, Chairman of the Economic Development Commission, speak very highly of her and feel that she is doing an excellent job.
