I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I ! Case ~/2: Appointment of person/persons to committee to raise funds matchin£ donation by Lutheran Brotherhood. Mr. A1Steinbrecher of Lutheran Brotherhood has again approached the City Staff with a proposal of donating up to $13,000 to be used in any of the Ramsey Parks. Again, there will have to be matching funds on the part of the City in order to qualify to receive these funds. Two persons were appointed to serve on the fund raising committee. Those members are: Marleen Looven, Representative for Park Commission and Claudia Dodge, Representative for Ramsey Community School. Case ~3: Lawcon/LCMR Preliminary Application Motion was made by Commissioner Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Rustad that the Park and Recreation Commission make application for Lawcon/LCMR Grant. OTHER MATTERS Chairperson Donovan stated that the city budgeted $50,000 for Capital Improvements and to do a lighting study. He will go before the Council and ask them to commence the study. Clarification of the Community School Coordinator role was discussed. Claudia Dodge stated that the Community School Secretary would attend meetings and take minutes. Ail commissioners agreed. Motion was made by Commissioner Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Johnson to withdraw motion of January 17 that City Secretary take minutes for the Park and Recreation Board. Claudia offered her assistance to the board and asked for ways that she could contribute to their purposes. The board asked her to attend meetings and take an active part in discussions. ADJOURNMENT Motion was made by Commissioner Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Johnson to adjourn regular meeting. Motioned carried - all yes. Meeting adjourned at 7:57 p.m.
