Benjamin Pes~r <br />Mr. Gerald Zi~merman <br /> <br />Chairman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Planner Anne Norris <br /> <br />Members Absent: Dr. Puane Ken~.n <br /> <br />C~T~, TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the tmblic bearing to order at 7:31 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZ~ INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Nyara was present and stated that his wife's ~ co~otology business <br />would be a part time operation. <br /> <br />Mr. John Ahlquist -15561 Erki~ - Irguired if there will be a separate <br />buildin9 oonstructed on the Ahlguist property for the beauty shop. <br /> <br />Mr. Nyara replied that the beauty shop will be in the basement of the frame; <br />the Nyara's have tentative plans to put an addition on the l~me for extra <br />bedroom space and the beauty shop would then be in the ~t under the new <br />addition. <br /> <br />Mr. Ahlquist stated that be feels strongly that gove~t has no business <br />oontrolling what a person does in their home and supports the Nyara's in their <br />efforts. Mr. Ahlquist stated that he does two concerns: that the Nyara's <br />would find it necessary to hire additional ~ployees and the plaoament of an <br />advertising sign in the yard. <br /> <br />Mr. Nyara replied that be also does not care for the looks of a business sign <br />in a residential neighborhood. <br /> <br />(kmm~issioner Dee~er stated that City Ordinance allows a sign not to exceed 2 <br />sguare feet. <br /> April 2, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
