Councilmembe r moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESC~UTIC~N t85- RESOLUTION APPROVING/DISAPPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT ~85-2 WITHIN ~{E UNALLOCA~ FUND LINE ITEMS WHEREAS, Independent School District #725 Elk River has requested by letter dated April 24, 1985 that the City of Ramsey contribute $825 to assist in covering swimming pool costs for the summer of 1985; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has contributed funds during the past two summers for the summer swimming program. However, to budget as they wanted it reviewed each year on a merit basis; and WHEREAS, in order to fund the above requested program in accordance with Sections 7.07 and 7.08 of the City Charter, the Ramsey City Council will have to amend the' 1985 General Fund Unallocated Activity as follows: Decrease General Fund Unallocated Activity Line Item 101-8920-43199 by the amount of $825.00 Increase General Fund Unallocated Activity Line Item 101-8920-43375 by the amount of $825.00 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA OgUNTY, STA~E OF MINNESO~, as follows: 1) That the City hereby approves/disapproves of contributing $825 to Independent School District ~725 Elk River to assist in covering swimming pool costs for the summer of 1985. (If you disapprove you should state reason so citizens from Ramsey will understand why we did not fund it). 2) That the City of Ramsey hereby authorizes Budget Amendment ~85-2 within the General Fund Unallocated Activity Line Items as follows: Decrease Unallocated Activity Line Item 101- 8920-43199 by the amount of $825.00 Increase Unallocated Activity Line Item 101- 8920-43375 by the amount of $825.00 (This paragralah will be deleted if you disapprove) 3) That it is directed that the City Accounting Department be furnished a copy to make appropriate changes in the 1985 General Annual Budget.
