I
I
I
I
I
i
I

TO: City Administrator
FROM: Director of Technical Services
RE: Monthly Report
DATE: May 2,, 1985

Building activity increased considerably for the past month with almost a million
dollars in valuation. This does not include the new Iron Works Gym, as that
permit has not yet been issued. The contractor has been somewhat reluctant
to provide the necessary permit information. The plans were sent to a plan
check service and Mr. Kummala did receive a detailed letter as to the information
it would be necessary for him to provide. I'm not quite sure why, but there
is a real reluctance on the part of people building commercial and industrial
buildings to prepare the necessary plans.

Attached please find a copy of the various jobs we've discussed that must be
accomplished. I would note that it is difficult to set aside specific blocks of
time to work additional projects because of the routine daily work that must
be done. Phone calls alone are probably almost two hours per day.

I Work is progressing really well in the River's Bend plat as well as other work
in the area. The curb and gutter is almost completely installed and the paving
should be done the week of May 6, 1985.

I Permits issued, mileage and inspections are included in the attached report.
I CRm j
