'1 I I I i i I I i I i I I i I I I I Councilmembe r moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION REQUESTING SPEED LIMIT BE CHANGED FROM 50 M.P.H. TO 40 M.P.H. (~ 167~ AVENUE N.W. (MSA ROUTE) WHEREAS, the current speed limit on 167th Avenue N.W. (MSA route) is 50 miles per hour; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has received complaints from the citizens that the current speed limit of 50 miles per hour is too fast for the many vehicles that travel said City street. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMS~,ANOKAGOUNTY, STATE OFMINNESOTA, asfollows: 1) That it is requested the Minnesota Department of Transportation reduce the speed limit from 50 miles per hour to 40 miles per hour on 167th Avenue N.W. (MSA route) between Nowthen Blvd. N.W. (C.S.A.H. #5) and St. Francis Blvd. N.W. (State Highway #47). 2) That it is directed that a certified copy of this resolution be furnished to the Minnesota Department of Transportation District ~5 Office, 2055 Lilac Lane, Golden V~i~, ~nneso~ for their action on mid r~. 3) That it is further directed that the Public Works Department and Police Department be furnished copies of said resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Gouncil this the 28th day of May, 1985. ~: ~ayor City A~ministrator/Clerk I hereby acknowledge reoeipt of the following resolution:
