I QUAD CITIES CABLE COHMUNICATIONS COMMISSION i MAY 16, 1985 Call To Order: Vice-Chair Beissel called the meeting to order at 5:10 p.m. I Members Present: Pat Lindquist, John Beissel, Gary Reimann, Don Melrose and ~-- Dan Hartman. I Members Absent: Jerry Dulgar, Don Jacobson, and Dean Rick. Others Present: Joe Perrin, ABC Newspapers; Mary dane Thompson, Group W Cable; I Tom Creighton and Terry OJConnell, Commission staff; and Bill Beckman, Anoka Senior'High School. I Approve QCCCC April 18, , Minutes of 1985 Motion: by Ms. Lindquist, and amended by Mr. 'Lindquist, and seconded I by Mr. Reimann to approve the minutes of the April 18, 1985 meeting as written with the following change under "Approval ~fiBillS"Aatkthesend7°fothec tY of no a' 2'9 7 5" first paragraph, the addition of Upon a voice vote, all voting aye, Vice-Chair Beissel declared i the motion carried unanimously. Approval of I Motion: by Mr. Reimann, second by Ms. Lindquist to approve payment of the following bills: $2,902.31 to the City of Anoka; $10.66 , ' to Mr. Melrose for mileage reimbursement; $64.00 for CableVision I subscription. Upon a voice vote, all voting aye, Vice-Chair Beissel declared i the motion carried unanimously. Review of Scholarship Information ~' I Mr. Beckman from Anoka Sr. High School, explained the different criteria used in awarding scholarships at that High School. There followed a discussion on the Group W scholarship, possible I criteria to be used in awarding it and the possibility of still awarding it to a student this year. I Motion: by Mr. Melrsoe to award two (2) $500. scholarships this year. There was no second. Motion: by Pat Lindquist, second by Gary Reimann to present five (5) $500. scholarships to 1985 that would be determined graduates eligible by the scholarship committee. These scholarships would be awarded for the 1985-86 school year. The motion was I tabled until a quorum is present.
