TO: City Administrator
FROM: Director of Technical Services
RE: Monthly report
DATE: June 3, 1985

With twelve housing starts, May was one of the busiest months we've had
since about 1980. Permit valuation of 1.5 million dollars is probably the biggest
month we have ever had. To date, we have more than 50% of last year's
total construction.

The River's Bend plat is progressing quite well. There are permits issued
for a total of eleven houses and we expect at least two more within the next
week.

With the adoption of a resolution setting sewer and water rates, we will now
be able to proceed with billings for the houses that are presently connected
to the system. The water will be charged as metered and the sewer will
probably be pro-rated to the date of occupancy or, as in the case of the models,
to the date of grand opening.

The public works department is in the process of lowering the lake north
of Ramsey Terrace as directed by the DNR. However, this is going really
slow because of the problems that are being generated in Flintwood Hills.
It's really too bad that the residents in the area voted against addressing
their drainage problems.

Permits issued, mileage and inspections are included in the attached report.
