June 20, 1985 <br /> <br />TO: City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: City Planner <br /> <br />RE: Monthly Staff Report <br /> <br />Economic Development Commission: The EDC is continuing to work <br />with the Planning and Zoning Commission on commercial and <br />industrial zoning regulations. In addition, the EDC is working <br />on cost estimates and possible financing for the extension of <br />sewer to Mate Punch & Die in response to a letter from Nils <br />Sundquist (attached). The EDC is also planning on organizing a <br />tour of Ramsey September. The Mayor and <br /> the <br /> businesses <br /> in <br /> for <br />City Council and advisory commissionmembers will be invited on <br />this tour. <br /> <br /> Tax Increment Financing: City Staff and Arlin Waelti will be <br /> presenting the City's proposed tax increment financing plan to <br /> the Anoka County Board at 9:30 on Tuesday, June 25, 1985. As you <br /> know, the City Council will also hold a public hearing on this <br /> plan July 9, 1985. The Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed <br /> the proposed plan and adopted a resolution finding that the plan <br /> consistent with Ramsey's 1990 Plan and <br />was <br /> Comprehensive <br /> recommended that the City Council approve the plan. The EDC also <br /> reviewed the proposed plan. <br /> <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission: P & Z is continuing their <br /> review of the recodification of the zoning ordinance. In <br /> addition, the Commission is working on a convenience plat <br /> amendment to the subdivision chapter to be used for requests for <br /> subdivisions of unplatted property into three or fewer lots. <br /> <br /> working on computer so that I am <br /> Other: <br /> I <br /> have <br /> been <br /> Jeanne's <br /> familiar with it before Jeanne leaves. The North Metro Traffic <br /> Task Force Technical Subcommittee has identified eight possible <br /> locations for Mississippi River crossings; two of these sites are <br /> in Ramsey. We will begin assessing each individual site in early <br /> July; I will keep you informed of that process. <br /> <br /> <br />
