~uly 3, 1985 I I I City Administrator RE: 1986 L~W(I~L(~R Funds All preliminary applications for 1986 LAWCON/LCMR funds were due at the Minnesota Department of Energy and Economic Development by 5~00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 1985. I prepared a preliminary application for these funds as directed by the Ramsey Park and Recreation Om~mission. The application is requesting funds for the construction of tennis courts in River's Bend Park and I Central Park. Listed below are the various steps that occurred in preparing this application. i I i I March 20, 1985 - March 26, 1985 - ~he Ramsey Park and Recreation Omm~ission approves City Staff making preliminary application for 1986 LAW(I~LG~R funds. Park and Recreation (k~mission ~hairman Dennis Donovan informs the City (buncil that the Park Board has directed the City Planner to prooeed with the preliminary application for 1986 L~W~~ funds and that the application will be for funds to be used for the develol~ent of River's Bend Park and Central Park. I I April 16, 1985 - April 18, 1985 - Dennis Donovan amd City Planner meet to discuss L~CDN/L(]~ application. ~he Park and Recreation ~ssion directs the City Planner to prepare a preliminary application for 1986 I~%~(I~L(~R funds to construct tennis o~urts at River's Bend Park and Central Park and a fitness trail at River's Bend Park. (Note: fitness trails are not eligible for L;~~ funds so this was not included in the ap- pl ication. ) I I May 6, 1985 ~e ~mpleted prelimi~ application for 1986 I~w~(I)N/LG~R funds to construct tennis courts in Oantral Park and River's Bend Park is delivered by the City Planner to the Minnesota De~r~_rtment of ~%er~y and Econ~ic Development. I I 'Ihe deadline for preliminary applications for 1985 LAWOON/LCMR funds was April 30, 1984. As you know, the City submitted a preliminary application for these funds but was not selected to s,,~mit a final application.
