A regular meeting of the Park and Rmcreation Commissi~ was held on Thursday, <br />June 20, 1985 at the Ranmey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd., N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Mr. Ran Hetland <br />Mr. Bill Rustad <br />Ms. Marle~e Looyen <br /> <br />Ms. Janice Johnson <br />Mr. Dennis Dmuov-an <br />Mr. John Lichter <br />Mr. DOn Lokker <br /> <br />Ms. Claudia Dodge, Ramsey Co-~ School Coordinator, Mr. <br />M~rle Mevissen, Street Superintendent, Mr. Arnie Cox <br /> <br />Ms. Marlene Looyen called the 'meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #1: 'Park Board 'to 'detern~ne 'wliat 'and 'Where 'fUnds Will 'be USed for 'that <br /> "which will 'be generated "f~xn 'LUCn~r~ 'B~of. herhod~l 'and 'mat~ funds. <br /> <br />Mr. Arnie Cox c~m~ befor the coumission to ai.~cuss the use of fx~ds ge~erated <br />by the Park Festival and matched by Lutheran Bro~d. The ~mr. mt could <br />exceed $26,000.00. His suggestion %ms that the funds be used equally between <br />Central Park and River's Bend Park.- ~.~sio~er tietland said his own opinion <br />was that the ftmds should be used exmlusively for Central Park because people <br />are already living there and the park is not finished. Mr. Cox disagreed and said <br />if there is a park developed at River's Bend ii may encourage people to buy there. <br />(k~-d.~sioner Rustad said that maybe the money could be divided up between all parks. <br />C~,,,,~sioner Hetland said that he could see no pz~gress at River's Bend and objected <br />to putting mmuey there. Mr. Cox stated that t,~ay people hav~ donated labor and <br />equipmmut to develop the park as far as it is r~w. <br /> <br />Since there ~ms not a quorum the Omxmission did not ~ke any offical motions and <br />did not act on Case #1. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
