I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Cc~fssion oonsensus is to request City 0ouncil approval to funds being <br />expended for a one-page flyer to be distributed City-wide the week of August 14 <br />advertising the airport public hearing scheduled for August 21, 1985. <br /> <br />(hairman Ippel stated that there may be a computer graphic video of Gateway <br />North available from the University of Minnesota which could be shown on the <br />local cable channel. <br /> <br />Co~missioner Stauffer suggested that a representative from Group W be invited <br />to the July Airport meeting to discuss the possibility of having the Gateway <br />North Airport issue being addressed on the public access channel prior to the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel stated that he will also invite a representative from KANO to <br />the July Airport meeting to seek airport issue coverage on the radio. <br /> <br />(km~issioner Greenberg stated that he would like to bring up for discussion the <br />possibility of airport building develolz~=.nt taking plaoe on the east side of <br />the runway rather than on the west side. ~issior~r Greenberg stated that <br />airport building develolm~=nnt could then be included in the Tax Increment <br />District, thereby generating enough taxes to pay back the City's share of <br />airport development. <br /> <br />Goa~nission consensus is to conduct a special meeting of the Ramsey Airport <br />Commission on Wednesday, June 26, 1985 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the possibility <br />of Tax Increment Financing coinciding with airport building develo~nent. <br /> <br />It was also noted that a picture of the Airport (1remission is needed in <br />conjunction with an airport article that will appear in the next issue of the <br />Tri-City Newsletter. ~e G~sion secretary will have a photographer present <br />at the special meeting of the Airport G0~sion on June 26 and all m~nbers <br />should make every reasonable attempt to be present at the meeting. <br /> <br />Oon~issioner Larsen stated that as of July 1 his new mailing address will be <br />3625 ll4th Lane N.W., Goon Rapids, ~ 55433; home and work phone n~nbers will <br />remain the same. <br /> <br />(kmmission consensus was to adjourn the regular meeting of the Airport <br />Oma~ission. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully sukmitted, <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik <br />Secretary <br /> <br />June 19, 1985 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
