This revolving loan fund <br /> will be used for eoomomic development activities in the City. A <br /> s~ittee of the EDC is continuing to work on Mate's request <br /> for the extension of sewer for their proposed expansion. In <br /> addition, the local development company is getting ready to sell <br /> shares in the company: they had a logo created for letterhead, <br /> letterhead is being printed, and stock will be available at $25 per <br /> share. The company will be selling stock to interested <br /> businesses and residents. The Airport Commission has requested <br /> the assistanoe of the EDC in researching the feasibility and/or <br />I possibility of using tax increment financing if the plan for the <br /> upgrading and expansion of the airport is approved by the City <br /> Council. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission: P & Z is continuing their <br />review of the recodification of the zoning ordinance. The <br />Commission is planning to hold a joint work session with the <br />Council in September to review the recodified zoning ordinance. <br />Also, please note that the August Planning and Zoning meeting <br />will be held on Monday. Auo_ust 12 rather than the customary <br />first Tuesday of the month. <br /> <br />Other: Subsequent to Councilmember Cox' suggestion at the J~ly <br />9, 1985 City Council meeting regarding amending the 1986 <br />preliminary LAWOON/LCMR application, I called Mr. Louis Jambois <br />with the Minnesota Department of Energy and Economic Develo~ent. <br />Mr. Jambois stated that it is too late for the City to su~it any <br />additional requests for the 1986 LAWCON/LCMR funds. The <br />Northfork P.U.D. project is complete with the exception of <br />the foll(~ing: the resolution of who will pay for the oosts of any <br />improvements to Jarvis Street N.W. (presently under discussion <br />between the cities of Ramsey and Elk River and the developer), <br />the suk~ission by the developer of final restrictive covenants <br />for City S~a~f review and approval, and marketable title to the <br />property. ~e ordinance rezoning this property was adopted by <br />the City Council on June 25, 1985; the ordinance was published <br />June 28, 1985 and the rezoning should be effective July 29, 1985. <br /> <br /> <br />
