Councilmenlber Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-05-132 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REPLACEMENT OF EMERGENCY WARDING <br />SIRENS <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, on April 16, 2004, the City of Ramsey Police Department released requests <br />roi' the replacement of six (6) and the relocation of one (1) outdoor warning siren; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received two proposals, Federal Warning Systems with <br />a bid of $84,059.25, and American Signal Corporation with a bid of $81,128.70; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, each proposal was evaluated and found that the lowest bidder, American <br />Signal Corporation, will provide the installation of six (6) new sirens, including the relocation of <br />one (1) unit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, installation and service will be provided by Electric Systems of Anoka, <br />which is a local vendor. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council authorizes the contracted replacement of six (6) outdoor <br />warning sirens and the relocation of one (1) siren with American Signal Corporation.. <br /> <br />Tile motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cook, and upon vote being taken thereof, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Counci hnember Kurak <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Cotumihnember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and thc following voted against the same: <br /> <br />NOlle <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
