Councihnember Strommen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-06-144 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE FROM <br />THE EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND NOT TO EXCEED $13,869.25 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has shown the need to replace the Police Department's existing copy <br />machine/network printer and a laser printer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the existing copy machine could be utilized by the Fire Department and <br />City Council at Fire Station 1 for copier and network printer needs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City currently has a contract with Metro Sales Inc. and the said copiers <br />are still under a BID from purchases made earlier in the year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that the requested Ricoh copier/printers can be fully <br />funded with money from the Equipment Replacement fund not to exceed $13,869.25. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the Police Department to purchase the Ricoh <br />Aficio 2035 copier/printer and a Ricoh Aficio 1015 copier/printer from Metro Sales, Inc. <br />utilizing up to $13,869.25 from the Equipment Replacement Fund. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cook and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councihnember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Counci hnelnber Kurak <br />Councihnember Pearson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
