Councihnember Strommen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-04-095 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #02-08-183 ALLOWING THE CITY TO <br />ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA FOR DESIGN, <br />CONSTRUCTION, AND OPERATION OF A NORTHSTAR COMMUTER COACH <br />DEMONSTRATION PROJECT PARK AND RIDE FACILITY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey approved the attached Resolution #02-08-183 allowing <br />the City to enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for a Park and Ride facility; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota, would like to enter into a formal application for the <br />usc of those federal funds; aud <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is in support of the project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the work for the grant and project memorandum preparation have been <br />added to the cost of the work. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey enter into a Grant Contract with the State of Minnesota to <br />reccive Federal Transit Administration fund to be used for the design and construction of <br />the Park & Ride lot. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey agrees to provide a local match of the federal funds, in cash or <br />in kind, of 20% percent of the total project cost. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey authorizes the City Administrator and the City Attorney to <br />execute the Grant Contract and any amendments thereto. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councihnember <br />Councihnember <br />Councilmember <br />Councihnember <br />Councilmember <br />Councihnember <br /> <br />Strommen <br />Pearson <br />Cook <br />Elvig <br />Kurak <br />Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> <br />
