By raising 180 feet of roadway, the centerline
would be approximately six inches above the existing water elevation.
Since it is impossible to predict to what level the water will rise,
we would recommend that the road centerline be raised at least
eighteen inches above the existing water level. This would involve
rebuilding and overlaying 530 feet of roadway.

The estimated cost of rebuilding the road is $15,000 which includes
25% for overhead costs. These costs were based on performing the work
after the water level has receded below the road surface.

By raising the road centerline eighteen inches, we do not guarantee
that the road would not be subject to future flooding. The permanent
solution to alleviate the flooding in the area, is to provide a
drainage outlet to the Mississippi River.

We would be happy to discuss this project at your convenience and
answer any questions you might have.

Yours truly,

HAKANSON ANDERSON ASSOCIATES, INC.

Peter R.
