PR(X~EDINGS OF CITY (DUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC H F_~ ING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Gouncil conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, September 17, <br />1985 at the Ramsey MuniciI~il Center, 15153 Ncwthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota regarding a.sses~rents for River's Bend, Projects ~84-12, 13 and 18; <br />Oxbow Addition and adjacent unplatted sections, Projects ~84-12, 13 and ~85-2. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Gary Heitman <br /> Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> Council~ber Gary Reimann <br /> Council~rber Jean Schlueter <br /> Gouncilmerber Arnie Gox <br /> <br />Also Present: Director of T~chnical Services Clayton Berg <br /> City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> Reporter Angela Flint <br /> <br />Mayor Hei~an called the public hearing to order at 8:27 p.m. ~ <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Art Raudio, Mr. Rick Foster and Mr. Lyle McLaughlin were p~esent and <br />expressed concern that: . <br /> <br /> 1. ~he City is not bezng assessed at all for the lateral line to <br /> serve the Oxbow Addition. <br /> <br /> 2. ~he City is not being assessed for a large enough are~ for storm <br /> sewer. <br /> <br /> 3. Should the drainage fl~ change in the future, don't want Parcel C <br /> to be assessed again for storm drainage. <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued. <br /> <br /> City. Engineer Raatikka stated that the ordinance says that a parcel can only <br /> recezve one assessment. <br /> <br /> City Engineer Raatikka also stated that when a developer petitions for <br /> improv~rents to an area, any parcel not wanting the impr.ov~ent is deferred <br /> fr~r an asses~rent until that paroel utilizes the syst~, at that time the <br /> developer is reimbursed. <br /> <br /> Motion by Gouncilm~rber Reimann and seconded by Gouncilmember Sorteberg to <br /> adjourn the public hearing.
