Ramsey Ordinanoe ~79-4 ~ends (hapter 170.014B of the City Code regarding the size of aocessory structures as follows. 1 - No single accessory structure or total of all accessory structures shall be larger than 624 square feet if located on a parcel of land 2-1/2 acres or less in size. 2 - NO single accessory structure or total of all accessory structures shall be larger than 1200 square feet if located on a parcel of land larger than 2-1/2 acres. B. In addition, Ordinanoe %79-4 also ~ends Section 170.0111 of the City Code as follows. 1 - An attached garage, or a detached garage where the dwelling does not have an attached garage, and which attached or detached garage does not exceed 864 square feet shall not be oonsidered an aocessory building. C. Other communities' regulation of accessory structures in residential districts: Ando~er: Less than 1 acre: 75% of ~guare footage of ground coverage of Ixincipal structure, excluding garage area. Between 1 and 5 acres: 100% of the square footage of ground coverage of principal structure, excluding garage area. (No painted sheet metal structures - pole barns - allowed on paroels of three (3) acres or less) Blaine: 800 square foot maxim~, regardless of parcel size H~ Lake: Less than 2-1/2 acres: 676 square foot maximum (exterior must match than of principal structure - no pole barns) Between 2-1/2 and 5 acres: 800 square foot maximum (exterior must match that of principal structure - no pole barns) Between 5 and 10 acres: 1200 square foot maxim~ O~er 10 acres: discretionary Plymouth: 30% of required rear yard or 1,000 square feet, whichever is less, storage sheds can be no larger than 120 square feet
