ORDINANCE #84-1 <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 170.02 WHICH IS EN'ITrLED MOBILE HOMES <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 170.0ZZ OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 170.0ZZ "Mobile Home Location" is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />170.02Z MOBILE HOME LOCATION <br /> <br /> 1) It shall be unlawful within the limits of the City of Ramsey for any <br />person to park any mobile home on any street, alley or highway, or other <br />public place, or on any tract of land owned by any person, occupied or <br />unoccupied, within the City of Ramsey, except as provided in this chapter. <br /> <br /> Z) Emergency or temporary stopping or parking is permitted on any <br />street, alley, or highway for not longer than three (3) hours, subject to any <br />other and further prohibitions, regulations, or limitations imposed by the <br />traffic and parking regulations or codes for street, alley, or highway. <br /> <br /> 3) No person shall park or occupy any mobile home on the premises of <br />any occupied dwelling or any lot which is not a part of the premises of any <br />occupied dwelling, either of which is sit .uated outside of an approved mobile <br />home park~ except, the parking of only one travel trailer of less than 500 <br />square feet in floor area is permitted, providing no living quarters shall <br />be maintained or any businesses practiced in said travel trailer while such <br />travel trailer is so parked or stored. <br /> <br /> 4) The City Council may in its discretion grant a permit to park one <br />(1) house trailer or mobile home on a tract of land to any non-profit <br />corporation, organization, or other charitable enterprise when the following <br />circumstances exist: <br /> <br /> a) The purpose of the house trailer or mobile home is to permit a <br />residence which will then provide security and hinder burglaries, break-ins, <br />maliciousness, and other unlawful acts to and against the applicant's <br />buildings and other facilities. <br /> <br /> b) The City Council determines that the applicant's property and <br />facilities are located such as to not receive normal and sufficient police <br />protection. <br /> <br /> c) The applicant agrees to construct permanent residential facilities <br />within a reasonable time, such time to be agreed upon by the City Council <br />and applicant. <br /> <br /> d) The applicant understands and agrees that this permit is made <br />contingent on the applicant's continued good faith and that the City <br />Council may revoke this permit after thirty (30) days written notice <br />if the Council determines that the mobile home or trailer house is <br />unnecessary as it is being used for a purpose other than that outlined <br />herein. <br /> <br /> <br />
