I I I I I I TO: Acting City Administrator FROM: City Planner RE: Monthly Staff Report Economic Development Commission: The EDC is continuing to work on requests from Mate Punch and Die, Iron Works gym, and Sauter and Sons for the extension of public improvements to the industrial area of the City. The EDC has come up with some possible ways to finance the extension of these improvements. The EDC hopes to make a recommendation on this to the City Council early in 1986. ~he promotional brochure developed by the EDC and the Economic Development Company has finally been delivered; E)~hlbi~'~" is a brochure for your information. These brochures will be distributed to the Anoka Area Chamber of Cormerce (serving Anoka, Ramsey, and Champlin), the Anoka County G~amber of Commerce, and the Anoka County Economic Development Partnership. ~he Economic Develol~nent ComPany is working on its annual meeting to be held in January. Planning and Zoning Commission: The Planning and Zoning Commission has scheduled a public hearing on the proposed recodified zoning ordinance for Tuesday, January 21, 1986. The Commission will begin a review for possible changes to the subdivision requirements in 1986. Tax Increment Financing: I am working with bond counsel and M & S Development on the development agreement between M & S Development and the City for public improvements to be completed in the Oxbow Addition. In addition, I am working with the fiscal consultants to determine how to structure the financing for these public improvements. Other: ~he North Metro Traffic Task Force is beginning to review and rate the possible alternatives for another bridge crossing over the Mississippi. Northfork's Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) on the proposed master plan for the remaining development in the P.U.D. has been submitted to the Environmental Quality Board and other State agencies for their review and oo~mmnt. In addition, a scoping meeting on this EAW will be held here on January 9, 1986.
