Landfill's Affect ~ Residential Market Values: I I I I I I I I Motion by Councilmember COx and se°Onded by Mayor Beitman directing City Staff to prepare specifications and advertise for bids for an extensive market study to be done on the landfill's afect on residential land valUes. Further Discussion: Oouncilm~mber (Dx noted that by the time this market study is completed the Landfill CO~t~ tenure period will trove expired. Mr. Steve De/mca, a member of the Laadfill Ad Hoc Committee, stated that one of the main thrusts of the Landfill ~ttee is to propose legislation and this Landfill Oammittee was formed too late in the year to get much acc~ished in the 1985 legislative session; if the Ommmit~ is extended, proposed legislation OOuld be oo~piled for the 1986 legislative session. Counc~r Cox stated that he would like to see the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee extemded for another 6 months only; at that time the Coumittee should be terminated as he doesn't like to -_~-c committees exist just to create more work for City Staff~ Motion (tarried.
