!
I
I
I

A field survey of pond levels was also made to determine high

water elevations for proposed ponding areas. In review of the

Lake Itasca area which lies northwesterly of the West Drainage.
District, it was found that a majority of that area flows into

the West District as shown on Exhibit A. Therefore, the oUtlet

! I to the West Drainage District will have to drain approximately

1,310 additional acres. Outlet flows from each subdistrict were
I based on draining the storage ponds in the entire district within
10 days following a 100-year storm. The following table shows
the high water elevations, storage required, the inlet flows and

I
!
I

outlet flows for all subdistricts except Wi and W2.
park land which is not proposed to be developed and Wl is
downstream from the proposed outlet and will require an
additional drainage outlet at time of development.

W2 is county

I
I

TABLE I

PONDING INFORMATION
WEST DRAINAGE DISTRICT
(100-Year, 24-Hour Storm)

I
I
I
1
I

Subdistrict

W3A
W3
W4
W5
W6
W7
W8
Lake Itasca
Area

Total
Runoff
(kc-Ft)

18.0
130.6
59.7
106.9
27.5
19.0
67.7
201.8

Peak
Proposed Inlet Outlet
Highwater Storage Flow Flow
Elevation (Ac-Ft) (CFS).
