Human Resources Manager Lasher stated that staff was approached by an intern that worked
with the City two years ago, with the request that she would like to come back. She noted that
human resources has some new technology that needs to be implemented and, therefore,
available funds in the budget to hire an intern. She stated that this intern would be a good fit and
would be able to provide assistance for one to two months, at a cost of$2,500 to $4,800.
Councilmember LeTourneau asked, and received confirmation, that the new HR system would
be implemented and running before the intern leaves the City.
It was the consensus of the Council to direct staff to move forward with the request.
4. MAYOR/COUNCIL/ STAFF INPUT
City Administrator Ulrich stated that the Council has previously mentioned asking a
representative from the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) to attend a meeting.
