Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-12-241 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A NON-TRADITIONAL ANIMAL <br /> LICENSE TO MAINTAIN A POT-BELLIED PIG ON A RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY <br /> AND DECLARING TERMS OF SAME. <br /> WHEREAS, Edie Harer, hereinafter referred to as the "Licensee" has properly applied to <br /> the City of Ramsey (the "City') for a Non-Traditional Animal License to maintain a pot-bellied <br /> pig on the property generally known as 15830 Andrie St NW and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 4, Block 4,Northfork Links Addition,Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> ("Subject Property") <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council met on December 13,2016 to review the request for <br /> a Non-Traditional Animal License. <br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1. That a Non-Traditional Animal License(the"License")to maintain a pot-bellied pig on the <br /> Subject Property is hereby granted to the Licensee. <br /> 2. That this License shall allow one (1) pot-bellied pig to be maintained on the Subject <br /> Property. <br /> 3. That the Licensee shall not maintain any other animals on the Subject Property unless in <br /> full compliance with City Code Chapter 10 (Animals). Additionally, Licensee agrees to <br /> limit the number of chickens on site to no more than twelve (12) at any given time and that <br /> the combination of all animals (chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, and the pot-bellied pig) <br /> maintained on the Subject Property shall not exceed a combined total of twenty(20). <br /> 4. That the Licensee shall ensure that the chickens,rabbits, and pot-bellied pig are maintained <br /> within the chain-link fence enclosure (the "Enclosure Area") and do not roam free on (or <br /> off)the Subject Property. <br /> 5. That the Licensee shall maintain the Enclosure Area at least every other day to collect and <br /> manage manure. Manure shall be stored in an enclosed container and shall be removed <br /> from the Subject Property at least once per week. <br /> 6. That this License shall be perpetual in duration as long as the terms herein are complied <br /> with. <br /> 7. That the Licensee shall obtain all necessary permits, including an Electrical Permit and <br /> Zoning Permit, for the detached accessory buildings and fence enclosure on the Subject <br /> Property within thirty(30) days of approval of this License. <br />
