Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-12-241 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A NON-TRADITIONAL ANIMAL LICENSE TO MAINTAIN A POT-BELLIED PIG ON A RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY AND DECLARING TERMS OF SAME. WHEREAS, Edie Harer, hereinafter referred to as the "Licensee" has properly applied to the City of Ramsey (the "City') for a Non-Traditional Animal License to maintain a pot-bellied pig on the property generally known as 15830 Andrie St NW and legally described as follows: Lot 4, Block 4,Northfork Links Addition,Anoka County, Minnesota ("Subject Property") WHEREAS,the City Council met on December 13,2016 to review the request for a Non-Traditional Animal License. NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That a Non-Traditional Animal License(the"License")to maintain a pot-bellied pig on the Subject Property is hereby granted to the Licensee. 2. That this License shall allow one (1) pot-bellied pig to be maintained on the Subject Property. 3. That the Licensee shall not maintain any other animals on the Subject Property unless in full compliance with City Code Chapter 10 (Animals). Additionally, Licensee agrees to limit the number of chickens on site to no more than twelve (12) at any given time and that the combination of all animals (chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, and the pot-bellied pig) maintained on the Subject Property shall not exceed a combined total of twenty(20). 4. That the Licensee shall ensure that the chickens,rabbits, and pot-bellied pig are maintained within the chain-link fence enclosure (the "Enclosure Area") and do not roam free on (or off)the Subject Property. 5. That the Licensee shall maintain the Enclosure Area at least every other day to collect and manage manure. Manure shall be stored in an enclosed container and shall be removed from the Subject Property at least once per week. 6. That this License shall be perpetual in duration as long as the terms herein are complied with. 7. That the Licensee shall obtain all necessary permits, including an Electrical Permit and Zoning Permit, for the detached accessory buildings and fence enclosure on the Subject Property within thirty(30) days of approval of this License.
