Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-12-245 <br /> RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE CITY'S 2017 -2018 UNION CONTRACTS <br /> WHEREAS,the current AFSCME, LELS-Patrol and LELS Sergeants contracts <br /> expire on December 31, 2016; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City has reached a tentative agreement with AFSCME, LELS- <br /> Patrol and LELS Sergeants on all articles within the contracts; and <br /> WHEREAS Staff recommends approving the two-year contracts with AFSCME, <br /> LELS-Patrol and LELS Sergeants, effective January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,the City will administer the 2017-2018 contracts as follows: <br /> Duration/AFSCME, LELS-Patrol and LELS Sergeants Contracts <br /> 2-years /January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018 <br /> Wages/AFSCME, LELS-Patrol and LELS Sergeants Contracts <br /> 2017: 2% Increase to the 2016 wage scale, effective on 01-01-17, for a Cost of Living <br /> Adjustment. <br /> 2018: 2.5%increase to the 2017 wage schedule, effective on 01-01-18 for Cost of Living <br /> Adjustment AND an addition half percent(50 percent) effective 07-01-18 for Cost of <br /> Living Adjustment. <br /> Health Insurance -AFSCME, LELS-Patrol and LELS Sergeants Contracts <br /> The City will make the following contributions toward group health insurance coverage <br /> for employees working 30 hours per week or more; as well as to purchase $20,000 of <br /> basic life insurance for full-time regular employees working 30 hours per week or more. <br /> 2017 Health Insurance Contributions The City's monthly contribution to health insurance <br /> in 2017 is as follows: Employee only coverage is from $700.00 to $723.50, Employee <br /> and Children coverage is $871.60, Employee and Spouse coverage is $907.30 and <br /> Family coverage is $1116.90. <br /> 2018 Health Insurance Contributions --Not to Exceed: <br /> Single Premium increased by up to $53.42 <br /> Employee + Spouse increased by up to $67.26 <br /> Employee + Children increased by up to $64.04 <br /> Family increased by up to $83.24 <br />
