Council Update Opportunity to Recycle Additional Cardboard. Over the holidays, many of us end up with more cardboard than we can fit in the standard recycling cart. This leaves us with the dilemma of either holding onto the cardboard another two weeks (until the next scheduled collection) or to just toss it in the garbage cart. This year, the City has worked with ACE Solid Waste to provide another option to recycle that extra cardboard. A dumpster will be placed at the Public Works Campus (14100 Jaspar St NW) from December 19 through January 9 (2017) for residents to bring extra cardboard to ensure that it gets recycled rather than thrown in the garbage. Please do take advantage of this opportunity as there is no additional cost to the residents and it helps keep recyclables out of the garbage! Northern Light Church- A Walk to the Stable Event Canceled — Due to forecast cold temperatures, Northern Light Church has canceled the Walk to the Stable event scheduled for Saturday, December 17, 6:00 — 8:00 pm at the Oliver Kelley Farm. Community Event Attachments: • Toys for Tots Santa Train — Help support Toys for Tots by bringing a new, unwrapped toy and ride for FREE on the Northstar Train with Santa on Saturday, December 17. The train will depart from the Ramsey Station at 11:16 am. Enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and pictures with Santa. The Free Santa Train will return from Target Field Station at 2:30 pm.
