Counci l man G~'~nec (~onncilman Mickelson Councilman bhJller Connci] man Reimann Mayor Cox Also Present: City Engineer Raatikka City A&ninistrator Schnelle Mayor Cox read the reconrnendations from Planning and Zoning of their meet- lng of October 2, 1978. They are as follows:. - P;lrco].s one acre and under: feet. 1% of the gross lot, not to exceed 400 square - Parcels one acre to 2.5 acres: 1% of the gross lot size, not to exceed 1,000 square feet. - Parcels over 2.5 acres: feet. 1% of the gross lot area, not to exceed 1,500 square - Front .desJgn of accessory building to match front of house-:(color,,brick,-', etc.) - Require keeping commercialequipment and supplies inside building Ms. Ramona'O'Donnell asked just what this all means. Mr. Ed Klemish stated it simply means that a resident won't be able to brJng a conpany truck home and park it in his yard, that a resident won't have anything more than a house and garage, that he can't have any rights. Also he can't have a small business in his home. Mr. Roger DJckenson, Jr., asked if this does have any bearing on the new bus~ness item of Merle Anderson and the Blight Ordinance. He was told it did not. Mr. Ed Klemish requested that the present ordinance be read on the accessory buildings. City Administrator Schnelle read paragraph 170.014B Accessory Uses sub- paragraph I and 2 of the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance. The citizens were reminded the change in this ordinance is to protect those who do not want a large accessory building constructed on a neighbors property.
