CASE 2' <br /> <br />CASI.i 5: <br /> <br />CASIi 4: <br /> <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR HOME OCCUPATION TO SELL DOLL FUR- <br /> <br />NITURE AND ACCESSORIES REQUEST FOR; CASE OF JEAN SCHLUETER: <br /> <br />Background: The fallowing is submitted for your review and <br />information: <br /> <br />a) Jean Schlueter's application for the above subject request. <br /> <br />b) Zoning Ordinance references paragraph 170.014E regarding <br /> home occupation and Section 170.016 regarding criteria <br /> for conditiOnal use permit (D2-g) <br /> <br />Co~unents: The Planning Commission will give you a verbal <br />recommendation on this at the meeting. <br /> <br />SIGN ORDINANCE: <br /> <br />Background: Mr. Frank Freeze is a little upset with the City's <br />Sign-Ordinance as he states he worked on the development of <br />said ordinance but the adopted sign ordinance (particularly <br />Section 170.056) does not contain the original recommended <br />language in the following areas: <br /> <br />a) Does not provide for bond, license and insurance for firm <br /> installing sign. <br />b) Does not provide for professional engineer to review blue <br /> prints on proposed signs and sign off on them. <br />c) Does not provide for UL (Underwriters Laboratory) label <br /> on electrical signs which is requiredby the State <br /> Electrical Code. <br />d) Does not provide for fee on a square footage basis as he <br /> has recommended. <br /> <br />Comments: I think the above subparagraphs one through three <br />~eserve Council consideration for a number of reasons, How- <br />ever, subparagraph four above is covered by i70.0156B of <br />the Sign Ordinance but is not enforced by the City Council <br />because of the administrative costs that would be involved. <br /> <br />Council Action: The above is provided for your information. <br />]he deci§!~°~ is strictly of a policy nature. However, the <br />langruage contained in 170.056B of the Sign Ordinance should <br />be clarified so that it isn't construed as an administrative <br />oversight on City ~taff by some future Council. <br /> <br />CITY INVOLVEMENT REQUESTED REGARDING BITUMINOUS.SURFACING OF <br /> <br />MR. SCULLY'S DRIVEWAY APPROACH ~Location 8511 -'"154th Lane N.W.) <br /> <br />Background' Mr. Scully is requesting that the City Put a <br />bituminous surface on his driveway approach. The reasOn for <br />this request by him is that he maintains the City does not have <br />a vehicular entrace to Whispering Pines Park and has to use <br />his driveway to gain entrace to it when they mow it. Con- <br />sequently, in view of the above, he feels the City should pro- <br />vide the bituminous surface to his approachway'.. <br /> <br /> <br />
