Another year is almost complete and I wanted to tell you "Thank You" for another stellar year for the work and service you provide to the City of Ramsey! As a retired Anoka County Department Head, I have great appreciation for excellence in managers employed in public service. You fit that description and have fit that description all the years I've known you. As public managers, you and I both know we for sure hear about things when there's a problem but not very often do we hear, "job well done". So I wanted to take the time to tell you, "job well done"! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and another great year for you and your staff in 2017. By the way, the guy that's snowplowing my cul-de-sac this season is doing the best job ever! Give him a Thank You from me - Dale Kolstad. Opportunity to Recycle Additional Cardboard. Over the holidays, many of us end up with more cardboard than we can fit in the standard recycling cart. This leaves us with the dilemma of either holding onto the cardboard another two weeks (until the next scheduled collection) or to just toss it in the garbage cart. This year, the City has worked with ACE Solid Waste to provide another option to recycle that extra cardboard. A dumpster will be placed at the Public Works Campus (14100 Jaspar St NW) from December 19 through January 9 (2017) for residents to bring extra cardboard to ensure that it gets recycled rather than thrown in the garbage. Please do take advantage of this opportunity as there is no additional cost to the residents and it helps keep recyclables out of the garbage!
