Regular Council <br />Page 2 <br />November 13~ 1978 <br /> <br />There was no more Citizen Input. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Muller and seconded by Councilman Reimarm to approve <br />the minutes of the regular Council meeting of October 23, 1978. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Gamec, Councilman Mickelson, Council- <br />man Reimann, Councilman Muller and Mayor Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />It should be noted that Mayor Cox stated he approved the minutes of'the <br />October 23, 1978 meeting on that portion he was present on. Mayor Cox <br />arrived at 9:35 P.M. after attending a meeting of the Anoka-Hennepin <br />School District #11 School Board Meeting in regards to the Ballfield at <br />the Ramsey Elementary School. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Reimann to <br />approve the minutes of the special Council meeting of October 24, 1978 <br />with the following addition: <br /> <br /> Mayor Cox wanted it clarified in the budget on the patrolman's <br /> salary that thefigure budgeted is not his beginning salary. <br /> The figure listed in the budget is the top salary for a patrol- <br /> man and not his beginning salary. Also the same is true for <br /> all personnel that the figure listed in the budget does not <br /> necessarily mean it will be paid at the first of the year. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Gamec, Councilman Mickelson, Council- <br />man Reimann, C0uncilmanMuller and Mayor Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Muller and sec0ndedby Councilman Reimann to approve <br />the minutes of the November 2, 1978 special Council meeting with the <br />following correction: <br /> <br /> Councilman Mickelson stated he' arrived prior to the interviewing <br /> of Ralph Pearson and not after as stated in the minutes. <br /> <br />It was the general concensus of the Council to place the time of arrival <br />at the beginning of the minutes rather than in the body of the minutes. <br /> <br />LETFERS AND ~ICATIONS <br /> <br />A letter was read from Mr. Dewayne Fast, 17030 Driscoll Street N.W., Anoka, <br />Minnesota in regards to the serious problem concerning families who live <br />in the northwestern section of Ramsey. The problem being the lack of stop <br />lights at the intersection of U.S. #169 & #10 and County Road #12. Also <br />Mr. Fast was concerned with the oak wilt disease problem in the City. <br /> <br />A letter was read from Mr. Alvin Salmela, Assistant Superintendent of the <br />Anoka-Hennepin Independent School District #11, confirming the amount to be <br />budgeted'for the ballfield improvement program of $9,948.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
