SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA ' <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held a special <br />council meeting on August 21, 1978, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 <br />Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox called~the special council meeting to order at 8:10 P.M. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cox <br />Councilman Robert Muller <br />Councilman Gary Reimann <br />Councilman Tom Gamec <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br /> <br />Absent: Councilman David Mickelson <br /> Attorney Goodrich <br /> <br />Mayor Cox led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flat. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka gave a report on the bid openings for the street improve- <br />ments. There were three bids received: <br /> <br /> Hardrives, Inc. $153,089.00 <br /> N.H.D. 142,147.00 <br /> Northern Asphalt Construction 190,982.52 <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated the lowest bid was about 14% over the estimated <br />bid but they had added restorations to the projects and this was not a true <br />price. He hoped the actual price per homeowner would be lower after the project <br />was complete. <br /> <br />He also stated that a homeowner could maybe get~a better price on a driveway <br />with the contractor on connecting his present drive but it would have to be <br />between the homeowner and the contractor. <br /> <br />Bob Ilstrip asked there were only two or three feet, would they connect it up? <br />City Engineer Raatikka replied they would. <br /> <br />August DeReubis asked how many homeowners were involved and ifthe projects <br />were bid total on one bid or by each area. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said they were lumped together as one. <br /> <br />A motioned by Gary Reimann and seconded by Tom Gamec to award the bid for <br />street improvements on projects 78-1 Menkveld's Country Park, 78-2 Greenland <br />Hills Plat #2 and 78-3 Azurite, Zirconium, Yttrium, 162nd Avenue, 164th Lane <br />and 166th Avenue to N.DoH. in the amount of $142,147.00. <br /> <br />4 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br /> <br />
