Councilmember introducbd the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #04-08-XXX <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT ANOKA cOUNTY ESTABLISH NO PARKING <br />REGULATIONS ON COUNTY ROAD #$6, COUNTY ROAD 116, and CSAH 83 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has approved for development the Ramsey Town <br />Center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said development will potentially increase the volume of pedestrian traffic <br />on these roadways; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council, the PACT Charter School, and the Anoka County <br />Highway Department are committed to the safety and well-being of pedestrian and bicycle traffic <br />on the County road system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the unrestricted parking of vehicles on these roadways presents a potential <br />danger to pedestrians and bicyclists. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Anoka County Highway Department consider the impleraentation of a 'No Parking' <br /> zone on both sides of the roadways on County Road 56 between County Road 116 and Trunk <br /> Highway 10, County Road 116 between County Road 56 and CSAH 83, and CSAH 83 <br /> between Trunk Highway 10 and County Road 116. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> ., and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the folloxving voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this __ day of August, 2004. <br /> <br /> Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />Resolution #04-08-XXX <br />Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />1,5 <br /> <br />-187- <br /> <br /> <br />
