January 8~ 1979 Page 4 Regular Council' DESIGNATION OF OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER FOR CITY OF RAMSEY Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Muller designating the Anoka County Union as the City of Ramsey's official newspaper for calendar year 1979. Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Mickelson, Councilman Cox and Mayor Gamec. Voting no None. APPOINT CITY HEALTH OFFICER FOR CITY OF RAMSEY Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Reimann to appoint Dr. Jankowski as the City Health Officer for the City of Ramsey. Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Mickelson, Councilman Cox and Mayor Gamec. Voting no None, DESIGNATION OF OFFICIAL DEPOSITORIES FOR CITY OF RAMSBY · Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson designating the following institutions as the City's official depositories of the City funds: 1) State Bank of Anoka 2) First National Bank of Anoka 3) Twin City Federal Savings & Loan Association Motion carried, Voting yes Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Mickelson, Councilman Cox and Mayor Gamec. Voting no None. APPOINTMENT OF COUNCIL STANDING COVlqlTIY_~S The City of Ramsey has the following standing committees: 1) Budget Committee 2) Personnel Committee 3) Horsemants Committee 4) Economic Development Committee Mayor Gamec has requested that a Committee for Review of City Bills be added to the list of standing committees.. It was the general concensus of the Council the bills be approved at Council meetings and there was no need of an additional committee. It was also suggested that the Council reduce the number of members on the standing committees from two to one due to the open meeting law. Councilman Reimann stated he feels two on the committees are nice and should be left as such. Mayor Gamec at present is serving on the Horseman's Committee and stated he wants to resign as chairman and will be sending in his resignation. He stated, however, the possibility of having Greg Wax of Blaine-Midway/Ell Pets do the chasing of horses for the City and wanted to speak to him on the subject.
