January 8~ 1979 <br />Page 6 <br />Regular Council <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Councilman <br />'Micke].son, Councilman Cox and Mayor Gamec. Voting no None. <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME ON PINEVIEW ESTATES; CASE OF JACK MENKVELD <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Menkveld was present to discuss his request for an extension of <br />time for Pineview Estates with the Council. It was stated they needed the <br />time to get their financing in order as they need $138,500 for the maintenance <br />bond. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to approve the <br />extension of time of 120 days in accordance with the City Ordinance 170.0310C <br />for Pineview Estates. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Councilman <br />Mickelson, Councilman Cox and Mayor Gamec. Voting no None. <br /> <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT IN UMB ZONING DISTRICT; CASE OF PHILLIP KERSSEN <br /> <br />A general discussion on Mr. Phillip Kerssen's request for a conditional use <br />permit to manufacture trailers and have a sales operation of same followed. <br />The Council was concerned on the size of his operationjand the screening <br />that would be provided. Mr. Kerssen stated he wants to put up a nice board <br />fence when there is a need for it. It was suggested he could plant some trees <br />now and in a few years they would be sufficient for screening, It was stated <br />that trees are really all that is required for screening. <br /> <br />It was the general concensus of the Council that Mr. Kerssen has been very <br />honest with everyone in the past in regards to his operation. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to grant the con- <br />ditional use permit to Mr. Phillip Kerssen, 14765 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota to operate a trailer manufacturing and sales business at 14765 <br />Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota upon the following conditions: <br /> <br />1) He may manufacture utility trailers at his residence <br />2) He may operate a trailer sales business at his residence <br />3) He may accept trade-ins [used farm equipment) in the sale of a <br /> new trailer and there shall be no automobile sales <br />4) He may repair the trade-in equipment (used farm equipment) for <br /> resale at his place of residence <br />5) Ail display of equipment for sale shall be displayed south of <br /> his present driveway and all grass shall be mowed <br />6) This conditional use permit shall expire cecember 31, 1980 <br />7) This conditional use permit will be revoked any time during <br /> its term if conditions in violation of the City's Blight <br /> Ordinance are found to exist on the subject premises. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Councilman <br />Mickelson, Councilman Cox and Mayor Gamec. Voting no None. <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY CITY EMPLOYEES' SALARY INCREASES FOR 1979 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to approve the <br />salaries as presented for the City F3,ployees with the xception of Jeanne <br />Moen to reduce hers to $9,360 per year to follow the 7% guidelines that <br />President Carter has suggested. <br /> <br /> <br />
