METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />Suite 300 Metro Square BuildingS' Saint Paul, Minnesota <br /> <br />55101' <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING PROCEDURES <br /> <br />The following procedures will be used to conduct the meeting <br />insure that each person has a fair opportunity to present his or <br />her views: <br /> <br />Individuals will be asked to limit their remarks to five minutes. <br />Representatives of groups will be asked to limit .their remarks to <br />ten minutes. <br /> <br />Groups or individuals that desire to make a presentation are <br />asked to register by tetter or phone before the meeting. Those <br />who register first will be allowed to speak first. Registration <br />will be open at the beginning of the meeting at the entrance to <br />the hearing room. <br /> <br />Questioning of speakers from the floor will be permitted only <br />through approval from the chairman of the meeting. <br /> <br />Each speaker will be requested to state his or her name, address, <br />and the group (s) he or she represents at the beginning of each <br />presentation. The proceedings will be recorded. If possible, <br />speakers are requested to provide a written copy of statements <br />presented to the Council. <br /> <br />Speakers are requested to present only factual information and <br />to avoid repetition of information previously entered into the <br />record of the proceedings by others. <br /> <br />Individuals'are requested to join with other individuals with <br />similar viewpoints into groups. The names of individuals and/or <br />groups being represented by a particular speaker will be entered <br />into the record. <br /> <br />The hearing may be recessed to another time and date if it is <br />deemed necessary in order to properly hear all persons and groups. <br /> <br /> <br />
