Commissioner Bendtsen expressed concerns over the use of TIF. <br />Community Development Director Gladhill clarified that only increment was captured in the <br />district; existing tax revenue is still distributed. <br />Commissioner Zaetsch recommended the City of Rogers as an example. <br />Chairperson Field noted that residents may be invited to this presentation. He also mentioned the <br />lack of training and education for the role of a Commissioner. <br />Consensus of the Commission was to schedule a meeting at the end of October. <br />Commissioner Sivertson suggested submitting questions ahead of the presentation. <br />Mr. Gladhill suggested focusing on educational items, but not the 2/3 provision without a more <br />comprehensive amendment on authorities. <br />Discussion ensued about the powers and education for the Charter Commission. <br />Commissioner Sivertson suggested training on Roberts Rules of Order. <br />Chairperson Field stated the Commission could recommend requirement for Robert's Rules <br />training. He also suggested protocol for adding items on the agenda. <br />7. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer, seconded by Commissioner Zaetsch, to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried.
