ADDENDUM TO COUNCIL AGENDA DATED~ay 14, 1979 ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION FOR RUM RIVER CROSSING; REQUEST FOR BY ANOKA COUNTY: Anoka County is requesting your support by adopting sample resolu- tion for the Rum River Bridge Crossing. Please refer to enclosure (1) for sample resolution and letter re- questing the adoption of said resolution. PREPAYMENT OF TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT; REQUEST FOR: It is requested that Council authorize payment in full on City office telephone equipment agreement you have with Northwestern Bell tele- phone. We still owe $1,932.30 and they will discount $261.78 from this if we pay it off in full which will leave a balance of $1~670.52 that you will owe. If we don't pay it off we will just continue your agreement pay back at $101 for the next 19 months. Consequently, I strongly recommend we pay it off and save $261.78 which is a good break in obligation. MEMORIALDAY Requeut Council change the May 28, 1978 meeting to l~y 29, 1978 which is a Tuesday. Council Action: Requires Council motion. 4. CETA E~PLOYEE It is requested that Council authorize the attendance of Sheila Beyer to attend a seminar June 12, 13, and 14 at the Anoka Holiday Inn. Reason: CETA requires CETA employees to pick up this formal training. You will have to authorize it as the cost will be $100 for this seminar · but CETAwill reimburse the City. If we want to keep our CETA employee coverage for Sheila, we have to participate in this. It is a good deal for the City of Ramsey as this will be a fine training seminar. RON WEST REGARDING THE PROPOSED KOVAR BUILDING: He wants to discuss the proposed addition for KovarManufacturing in regards to a steel building. EDA GRANT Regarding the expenditure of remaining dollars in grant estimated to be approximately $5,600. a) Complete surfacing of City parking lot b) .Remainder on trees, etc.
