P & Z-1- <br />4/19/79 <br /> <br /> Planning & Zoning <br /> City of Ramsey <br />County of Anoka <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey City Planning. g Zoning Commission was held <br />on 4/19/79 to conduct interviews for the two vacancies of the commission. <br />Chairman Ken Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:30 with the following <br />in attendance: <br /> <br />Ken PetePson <br />APt Dunn <br /> <br />Ron West <br />Gerry Zimmerman <br /> <br />The following gentlemen submitted applications and were interviewed by the <br />commission: <br /> M~. Steve Leitschuh <br /> M~. Michael Waterman <br /> M~. La~ry Davis <br /> M~. Timothy Rootes <br /> M~. Ben Deemer <br /> M~. John Hubbard <br />It was the consensus or ~ne Commission that M~. Deemer showed the necessar~y <br />enthusiasm, and had good knowlege and background of the zoning ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Hubbamd and M~. Rootes have indicated their desire to be of service <br />to the City du~ing the past years, and Commission. members felt them to be <br />better qualified for the remaining <br /> <br />Motion by Ron West, seconded by Art Dunn to recommend to the City Council <br />to appoint M~. Ben Deemer to fill the vacancies created By the resignation <br />of A1 Sorteberg which will be a fou~ yea~ term, as M~. Sorteberg's term <br />expired 12/78, but not renewed, and to choose either M~. John Hubbard or <br />Mm. Timothy Rootes to the fill the remaining ter~ of M~. Brad Bodle which <br />will expire 12/79. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />~l~--Cb-mmi'ss~n'-agmeed that they would be prepared to vote on the C~itical <br />Rivems Plan at the May 7th meeting and briefly discussed the a~eas which <br />received negative response from those present at the Public Hearing. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commission that the City should contact the <br />owners of the property presently zoned commercial and industrial that lies <br />South of Hwy #lO and have them specificly state their intentions regarding <br />their property, and to have them inform the Commission just exactly what <br />they would want for the a~ea. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned 10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kathleen Schneider <br /> <br /> <br />
