Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING DATED MAY 14, 1979 <br /> <br />Corrections - Page 3, Under Letters and Communications, ninth paragmaph, add a <br />question mark to the end of the paragmaph. <br /> Page 6, Under Ed Klemish Proposed Subdivision, '2nd Paragraph, 4th line - <br />add "not more than 13 lots". <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to 'approve the minutes <br />of the Regular Council meeting of May t4~ 1979 with corbections as noted above. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />NOTE BOARD AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />Accepted as presented. <br /> <br />LETTERS AND COMMONICATiONS <br /> <br />Letter from Ruth Franklin, of the MTC, regarding the possibility of any future MTC <br />service to the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox expressed his irmitation with programs of this type .especially the <br />sound barriers which are a waste oftaxpayers money. He would like to see a letter <br />sent to Congressmen requesting~that they take the side of those who Object to <br />this kind of waste. He added that the City has kept the transit out to avoid <br />having to pay the regional tax that would be assessed to the City if they have <br />only a portion of that service coming into the community. It would have to be a ~ <br />lighted facility for the parking area, etc. Some determination will have to be <br />made on how much this will cost'in taxes andweighit against the cost to citizens <br />for gas, etc., without it. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka presented a letter f~om the Office of State Aid in regard to <br />a traffic control device study which is funded 100 percent for'conducting the <br />study and 90 percent funded for installation. <br /> <br />Street Superintendent Mevissen and Administrator Schnelle were directed to review <br />the study. A report is to be brought back to Council on June 25th. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to enter into an <br />agreement for the Traffic Signalization Study; and.City staff is to perform the <br />study. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None.' <br /> <br /> <br />
